Mama Getting Her Pink Back and A Self-Loving Valentine

Blessings, beautiful souls. Thank you for being here, right now.

I’m dedicating this space to self-love, not as something earned, but as the steady center of a life that thrives in authenticity and expansive and free affection. When self-love leads, our Valentine’s overflows naturally, touching how we meet ourselves, the Divine, and one another.

So let’s get cozy. As I write, I’m sipping a calming tea with honey and cream, inviting us into something softer, slower, and more intimate.

This season, whether you’re moving toward spring or fall, calls us inward. Before the blossoms, growth happens quietly underground. Roots strengthen. Sap rises. What we choose to nourish now becomes the foundation for what will bloom later.

A beautiful life isn’t built through strain or sacrifice. It unfolds when we learn how to tune ourselves, body, breath, and nervous system, into receptivity. Like a radio, life meets us where we’re tuned. This is the time to honor the invisible work, trust the timing, and allow what’s growing within to emerge in its own unrushed way.

The deeper truth is often softer than the mind expects: we receive what we are available for. Like those toddler puzzles where the blue butterfly only fits its matching shape. It’s that simple. We don’t receive what we wish for, but what we allow, what we embody, and what we’re open to meeting.

Our vibration, coherence, and receptivity are the master keys.

And those keys aren’t earned just through effort, they’re cultivated through self-love.

Through relief, presence, and choosing what genuinely feels nourishing.

Relief comes from subtraction: releasing what drains us, quieting habits that close our channels like guilt, shame, overdoing, or believing we must fix ourselves. When the nervous system is already full, adding more isn’t the answer. Lightening the load is.

Presence is just as simple. Feeling your breath, your feet on the ground, your body moving through space, the moment as it is, equanimity. These small acts of awareness gently raise our vibration and bring us back into flow.

And feeling good is not selfish or a reward. It’s daily attunement. Care for the body is care for the whole. Our senses are not indulgences. They are gateways to aliveness, beauty, laughter, connection, and joy. This is how we keep the channel open and allow life to meet us fully.

Our bodies, nervous systems, feelings, thoughts, and beliefs are all part of the antenna we carry and the signal we emit. We are not broken, late, or missing anything. We are of royal lineage, from Creator’s making, and what is meant for us is already here, or quietly arranging itself on our behalf.

When we soften into awareness of the universal field and enter an intimate dialogue with life itself, we begin to synchronize with the experiences we’re meant to inhabit. We send a signal, the field responds, we adjust, and life answers again. This is a living conversation between our intentions and the greater whole we’re entangled with.

From this place of tending and attunement, creativity overflows, ideas arrive from curiosity and ease, and opportunities feel natural rather than chased. We become magnetic through joy and coherence. Our only practice is to recognize this feeling of flow and remember how to return to it, again and again.

Life moves in seasons. Looking back, it’s easy to feel tender nostalgia for the chapters that shaped us, even the ones that cracked us open. The scents, the meals, the quiet walks linger like distant ships on the horizon. I remind myself often: this page, too, will turn. Even in exhaustion, there is something sacred about savoring what is here, gathering moments I hope to smile over someday and replay from heaven.

This season feels like a slow unfurling, a wishful reclaiming of a sunrise that still feels far away. I’m often tired, yet like a fern slicing the air in fractals under the soft gradient of the rising sun, I notice the tiniest glimpses of my old self returning. I sip these moments gently, like a rare elixir: nourishing, subtle, and deeply sweet.

Nothing here is grand or flashy. It’s ordinary, turtle-paced micro-attunements only my body notices. Sometimes no one else sees them. And still, they matter. These quiet acts of self-knowing fill my inner treasury, each one a note of self-love I keep close.

I will never be who I was before motherhood, and I don’t want to be. I am softer now, more patient, fluent in grief and wonder, creatively curious, devoted to the small things that truly sustain me. I think of this as “getting my pink back,” like a flamingo as her chicks grow. Hummingbird energy with flamingo wisdom still intact.

Around here, routines evolve inch by inch, always shifting as children grow like magic beanstalks and life flows. We adjust together, again and again, finding our balance in motion like a rolly polly finding its center, trusting that this too is part of the rhythm.

I’m learning that consistency doesn’t mean rigidity.

That peace and happiness are not luxuries or rewards. They are paramount, essential, and my guiding compass.

With self-love at the center, I trust that only good can ripple outward, overflowing naturally into all my relations.

I’ve been learning to relate with the world in ways that feel more nourishing and sustainable for my nervous system and heart. I’m not always tidy or perfectly on target with my doings, and that, too, is part of the process. Mistakes aren’t truly mistakes; they are gems, part of my curriculum. The learning and the knowing live in the doing, in hands-on practice.

It has been deeply rewarding to stay present and whole. This is a season of contemplation, devotion, discipline, commitment, growing, forgiving myself, staying flexible, responsive, and deeply alive.

We are always in conversation with the universe. I offer something forward, it answers back, I listen and adjust. This ongoing exchange, as a living biofeedback loop, teaches me how to move with the flow instead of forcing the current. Especially now, with a fast-changing toddler and ever-shifting rhythms, returning to grounding routines feels less like perfection and more like gentle recalibration, again and again. If I could picture it, it would be an infinity symbol pulsing between my heart and life itself.

Lately, my self-love practices are simple, accessible, and forgiving:

  • A hand on my heart when my nervous system needs help settling.
  • Spacious breathing when grief arrives without warning.
  • Slow mornings by design, with the phone staying closed a little longer.
  • Nourishing food, water, and small pleasures that remind my body it is safe to receive. Even five quiet minutes with a warm mug in my hands counts.
  • I’m learning that fun is not extra, it’s essential. Texture, scent, softness, beauty.
  • Nature as a daily medicine when I can.
  • Movement, prayer, and yoga that meet me where I am, even imperfectly.
  • Rituals don’t have to be elaborate to be sacred; intention alone can turn an ordinary moment into a reset. A bath, a candle, a journal, a prayer to receive, enough to remind me that pleasure and rest are pathways, not rewards.

This blog is a tapestry where all of these threads weave together, from motherhood, creativity, grief as deep love, devotion, routine, to the quiet art of becoming.

And this is how I’m getting my pink back: one small, honest, self-loving moment at a time, and that I return to again and again as I ride this wild and precious life.

    • Thank you for your love, I receive it wholeheartedly! We love you too! I understand you. I have had tendencies to add more also, and as such I am becoming more aware of this so I can choose mindfully. I love that subtraction teaching from one of my mentors. It has been working wonders for me. And then to add only what truly nourishes and helps me protect my peace. My mom used to say: “La tranquilidad no tiene precio” Tranquility is priceless. How true it is! I am so grateful you are here, and that these love notes could be of service to you too. I am too learning, unlearning, growing, healing. We climb the mountain to pause and see how far we have come. And then the next invitation is given by the universe for another meadow to be explored, we grow as we go. This is also my medicine right now. Walking alongside you. We co-inspire each other. You inspire me too! Love you sweet seastar! Thank you for all you do, and for what YOU do in the world. You are my teacher! You are important. Love you! Thank you, xoxo M
